Montessori Education Institute of the Pacific Northwest is committed to educating, preparing and supporting teachers, professionals and the public. We provide comprehensive education that gives new teachers the knowledge, curriculum, confidence, and practice to be ready for classroom work. We seek to nurture developing skills and provide positive guidance during the intern year via regular communication and site visits. It is our mission to create professional development opportunities that allow teachers, administrators and support staff chances to connect with one another and deepen their understanding of Montessori philosophy and the profound importance of this work. MEIPN is dedicated to exploring and implementing current research, and building bridges that extend our practices and learning from our classrooms and schools to the greater community. Duhovka Institute's original goal was to create a bilingual Montessori educational system with the mission to share their experience with the European Montessori community. In 2012 Duhovka opened an AMS affiliated and MACTE accredited teacher education program in Prague. After 5 successful years in Czech Republic, Duhovka Montessori established an additional training site on Amelia Island, Florida. PCTE’s world class facility within the Princeton Montessori School offers hands-on learning experiences by a deeply committed faculty that provides current information while remaining true to the principles of the Montessori pedagogy.

PCTE is accredited by Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE - a program of the US Department of Education) and affiliated by American Montessori Society (AMS). The Montessori Elementary Teacher Training Collaborative provides high quality, specialized preparation for teachers involved in Montessori elementary education. METTC, which is accredited by MACTE and affiliated with AMS, offers training for certification at the EI (6-9), EII (9-12) and EI-II (6-12) levels. METTC operates out of Lexington Montessori in Massachusetts, with a summer-intensive program. Our practicum meets requirements for credits in the TIES masters program and our philosophy of collaboration blends well with the approach at TIES.
