Student Profile
Students enrolled in the M.Ed. represent diverse
careers, ages and interests. The youngest student is 22 and the oldest is a grandmother of 70.
They come from diverse teaching areas as well as non-schooling backgrounds.
Their post graduation interests have ranged from teaching at the university
level to furthering their education in doctoral programs.
Most are active Montessori teachers and administrators. All have a keen desire
to explore the personal as well as professional dimensions that permeate the
essence of learning.
Although new to colloquium-based on-line learning,
it is hard to keep many of them off the virtual campus -- even during regularly
scheduled break times. Success in the program is directly related to active
on-line participation, responsible scheduling and self discipline.
